New York City, New York Dec 16, 2024 (Issuewire.com) - Out There Literary Magazine, a publisher of short stories, poetry, and art, has launched. Following its inaugural issue, Light, published November 2023, its second issue, Connection, will be published in Spring 2025.
Beginning in 2025, the magazine will be published twice a year in print and digital formats.
Out There is a literary magazine focused on interiorities, per the magazine's social media.
We seek not only to entertain but to publish emotionally insightful fiction that sheds light on inner life, a representative for the magazine states. Ideally, the works we publish will find hope amid stark circumstances, or help readers feel less alone by speaking authentically about life.
In terms of genre, Out Theres taste trends toward the unusual. Pieces are often highly imaginative or fantastical but always speak to lived experience. We value concise, original ideas across the spectrum of realistic to impossible, and strive never to bore you.
Out There is especially eager to bolster emerging voices through its publishing. All pieces go through a thorough editing process, and the outlet aims to help previously unpublished authors find a readership.
Fiction in the forthcoming Connection issue will include Poetry for the Damned by Megan Murphy, in which a vampire goes to church, but finds meaning elsewhere; and Grief Is A Damp Ceiling by Hannah Olsson, in which a dead body (yours) is dug up by a woman to relive her past relationship, among others.
Out There is accepting submissions for its Connection issue. For more information or to submit, visit www.outtherelitmag.com.
